Why this lesson exists

This lab adapts the “Build an Interactive AI/ML Strategy Portfolio” project write-up into a practice build. The time is an estimated first session, not a promise to finish a production system. Use the public repository as a reference when available; the exercise can be built with original sample content.

Do the exercise

  1. Define the practice version

Use a problem, your contribution, options considered, chosen approach and observed result. Keep private employer or client details out.

  2. Build step 1

Choose the role or decision the portfolio should support.

  3. Build step 2

Replace generic skills with one concrete business scenario.

  4. Build step 3

Show phases, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.

  5. Build step 4

    Link claims to evidence.

  6. Build step 5

Build the first version as static content.

  7. Build step 6

Add interaction only when it improves comparison or comprehension.

  8. Run the experiment

Ask a reader what you did, why you chose it and what evidence supports the outcome. Check every number and link.

A prompt to adapt

Replace the bracketed parts with your own practice details.

Work in a disposable practice project. Explain any setup requirements before changing files. Build one small step at a time and show how I can check it.

Turn my resume and this target role into a portfolio narrative. Select three problems I can credibly solve, evidence for each, a 90-day plan, a two-year roadmap, architecture diagrams, risks, and the exact questions a hiring manager should be able to answer after viewing it.

Audit this strategy portfolio for credibility. Flag unsupported ROI, vague leadership claims, invented metrics, confidential details, and diagrams that imply production readiness without evidence.

My first-version boundary: Use a problem, your contribution, options considered, chosen approach and observed result. Keep private employer or client details out.

Run this experiment

Ask a reader what you did, why you chose it and what evidence supports the outcome. Check every number and link.

Check your result

Use evidence from your output. A confident explanation from the AI is not enough.

  • The reader can identify your actual contribution.
  • Claims have evidence.
  • Diagrams distinguish proposed from deployed systems.

If it isn’t working

If the portfolio becomes a tool inventory, replace one technology list with a decision and the evidence behind it.
